Contribution limits are increasing for the Health Savings Account and Flexible Spending Accounts

Health Savings Account (HSA)

The amount that you can contribute to your HSA for 2026 is increasing to:

  • $4,400* for employee only coverage, and
  • $8,750* for all other coverage tiers.

* This includes the amounts that Flex contributes to the HSA on your behalf.

The catch-up contribution for those ages 55 and older remains unchanged at $1,000.

Health Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs)

You can elect to make contributions to Health Care and Limited Purpose FSAs of up to $3,400. FSA contribution limits for 2026 are expected to be announced later this year.

Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account (FSA)

GOOD NEWS! The Dependent Care FSA contribution limit is increasing from $5,000 to $7,500 (or $3,750 for married individuals filing separately).

2026 HSA contribution from Flex

If you are enrolled in the Core or Premier medical plans with HSA for 2026, you’ll continue to receive a contribution from Flex to your HSA.
